Parents and the Community 

Parent and community involvement is encouraged and numerous programs exist in which parents can get involved.

P&C
The P&C meets in the Staff Room on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.  All are welcome.

It provides a forum for parents to provide valuable support for programs, initiate school activities and become more informed about the education of their children.


School Council

The School Council is made up of elected members form the teaching staff, the parent body and one community member.  It facilitates communication between the school and the community, supports the principal and staff in the implementation of school policies and the preparation and monitoring of the school budget.

Parent Involvement

Parents may be involved in class activities in English, Mathematics, Visual Arts, Excursions and also voluntarily working in the Canteen and Uniform Shop.  All volunteers working in the school are required to complete a prohibited employment declaration.

At a school level, parent representatives are encouraged on committees such as Student Welfare, Uniform, Gifted & Talented Students, Assessment & Reporting, School Self Evaluation, Technology, Grounds, Finance, Band and Canteen.

After School Care

The Pittwater Municipal Council runs an After School Care Centre at our school, from 2:30 to 6:00pm.  For information and bookings, contact the Council on 9970 7222 between 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

After School Community Activities
