Common Name : Banded Hare Wallaby

Scientific Name : Lagostrophus fasciatus

Habitat :
Found in dense acacia heath on Bernier and Dorre Islands off Western Australia.

Diet :
Eats a variety of native grasses and shrubs.

Size :
800mm in total length but the tail is 330mm of the length. It weighs 2-3kgs.

Danger :

The introduction of sheep and feral animals caused the Banded Hare Wallaby to disappear from the mainland by 1906.
