Habitat :
Temperate eucalypt forest near Melbourne in Victoria.
Diet :
Eats mainly nectar and also insects and spiders.
Size :
It is about 230mm long.
Danger :
They are almost extinct because the forests have been cut down or burnt. The Bell Minor bird competes with the Helmeted Honeyeater for nesting areas.
Cats catch and eat Helmeted Honeyeaters.
