Common Name : Mahogany Glider

Scientific Name : Petaurus gracilis

Habitat :
Medium to low tropical woodland, Melaleuca swamps and Grasstree woodland in Queensland.

Diet :
Nectar from flowers of Moreton Bay Ash and various other eucalypt blossoms and Grass-tree flowers.

Size :
It is around 660mm of which about 400mm is the tail. It weighs about 400grams.

Danger :

The habitat has been largely destroyed to make way for sugar cane, banana and pineapple farms.
