Common Name : Little Tern

Scientific Name : Sterna albifrons

Habitat :
It nests above the high tide mark on surf beaches around most of the coast of Australia.

Diet :
Eats small fish and small crustaceans.

Size :
Reaches about 230mm in total length with a wingspan of 500mm.

Danger :

It breeds in Summer and if any humans, e.g. fishermen or swimmers, come near it will abandon the nest.
