Class or age :
Name of Forest: School Nature Area
General information
The school's 'Nature Area' consists of the last remaining stand of
natural vegetation within the suburb of Dharruk. I have been able to
identify these trees as mainly Eucalyptus molluccana. A small number of
Eucalyptus amplifolia ssp. amplifolia, Eucalyptus maculata, Eucalyptus
baurerana and Allocasuarina littoralis are also present.
In addition, we have recently planted a couple of new gardens. One is
entirely native, the other is dominated by local species of natives
(i.e. form the Cumberland Plain)
