MarshesEcosystem comparisons

We are working with schools in Quambone and Mt Isa to compare the Macquarie Marshes,NSW, with inland Queenlsand.

GreenlandArctic/Antarctic Ecosystems

Our children are working with a school in Alaska, another in Denmark (who studied Greenland) and the Arnie in Antarctica Project - researching cold climate ecosystems.

Insects
We have studied Australian insects and are comparing them with others in the world via the Insects Project run from California.

Playground Games
We have prepared pages about our Playground games for the Montage Project so we can share this with children in the UK

Progressive Story Project
Children from Hornbæk School in Denmark set out to solve a mystery disappearance in the Bermuda Triangle. They themselves have disappeared and children from other countries are trying to find them.
International Story Project
Children from around the world are writing stories which give a glimpse of life in their own country.
Friendship with Belgium
One of our pupils is representing Australia in VTI-Gullegem's endeavour to gain information from 35 different countries.
Africa South African students help us
study Africa.
It has been wonderful to have email contact with students on the spot to help our 3rd graders learn about African animals and life in Africa.
Sadako and 1000 cranes
Our school is part of the Peace Network and folded 1000 cranes as part of our Trees and Forests Project to create a Wishing Tree.
Oildoll Project
Mrs Lita Cena of Leduc, Alberta, Canada visited our school and introduced two oildolls. Leduc is famous for its large oilfield.
Polygon ProjectPolygon Project
Yuge Elementary School in Japan, Paengaroa School in New Zealand, and our school are working together to create this non-verbal communication project involving many other schools around the world.
Our Town
Our friends in Hornbæk School in Denmark entered the European Think Quest competition where they needed to describe their home town. We created a site about Elanora Heights as a link to their project.

Eht Labolg Yrots
Ysgol Llanddulas in Wales asked us to join them in writing an International Story - Backwards. Our students wrote the second to last chapter of this exciting story - but at this stage only the last one had been written.
International Grandfriends Project for the
1999 International Year of Older People
Children from 1st Grade to 5th Grade at our school have written stories and drawn pictures or scanned photos about their relationships with their Grandparents and Grandfriends.
Pitter Patter Project
This project focuses on the onomatopoetic words in various languages of the world.
Our children are making animations for this project.
Exploring the Street
Children are comparing items from their streets with those in other countries.
We have contributed some photos.
Children and Nature
Our children are making animations from nature pictures to contribute to this International Nature Project.
Holidays and Festivals
Our 2D and 4R students are collecting information and writing reports about Australian holidays and festivals to contribute to the International collection of Holiday and Festival reports.
